Ghassan Matar

Ghassan Matar was a Palestinian actor. He was born in Jaffa and got interested in performing arts at a very early age. His debut as an actor was in the Egyptian television series “Da'irat Aldaw'” (The Circle of Light), and due to his unique looks and low-register voice, he was then often cast as a villain in numerous films, television series, and t heatrical plays. He also served as president of the Arab Artists Union and wrote several screenplays, including the 1996 Palestinian film “Al Tha'er” (The Rebel).
